The moment you exit the 7th floor elevator and turn your head, like many have every year since 2024, you’ll find a table stocked with goodie bags, containing skincare products, a notebook and a brochure, with fun and excitement in the air.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 11 AM to 2 PM, Temple’s Fashion and Business Professional Organization (F&B) collaborated with Women in Business and Temple Beauty Birds to host its third annual Fashion and Beauty Professional Fair. Over a hundred people filled the MBA Commons on the 7th floor of Alter Hall, ready to discover new opportunities and show off their professional wear. With recruiters and professionals from Burlington, Doll 10, QVC and URBN in attendance, students flooded the fair in search of intern and post-grad openings.

Once attendees settled in with a cup of Saxby's coffee and a bite of puff pastries, the fashion show began. Models strutted down the line, showcasing sleek, elegant, and fun professional looks. The primary palette was black and white; however, some donned shades of blue, brown, beige, green, yellow and magenta. Thanks to stylist Caitlyn Dimeglio (@getstyledbycait on Instagram), the show left attendees with a profound inspiration for professional attire.

Representatives of each organization gave their speeches, grateful for the opportunity to be there, while instilling students with some hope, as they were once in the same shoes.

After speeches, a round of applause and exchanges of gratitude, our Editorial Committee, Angelina Dang, Kaya Hall and Sydney Aldred, sat down to interview the hosts of the fair.

Noah Lauture, Vice President of F&B, walked as a model in the fashion show, wearing, “forest green corduroy pants, suede leather shoes with a buckle detail and a pointed toe, a vintage leather bomber jacket and a black button down to tie it all together.”

Lauture’s been here since the beginning, having walked in each of the Fashion and Beauty Professional Fairs. With a smile, he says, “It was a lot of time in the making, and this is my third year, and final year running or helping to coordinate the show. Yeah, I'm really happy. It's like a full circle moment.”

“It just came to be when the past president decided they wanted to have an event that was just for us, because we have Beauty Grows, we have Women in Business and of course, Fashion and Business. But we didn’t really have a big fair, or a big event dedicated to us, as the finance, insurance, and risk students do.”

In his parting message, Lauture says, “You have to make the most of what you have. Lots of people are worried they don't have enough experience or feel like what they're doing doesn't count towards their career goals, but there's always a good way to sell yourself.”

After the show concluded and the networking portion began, Kaya, one of our writers, had the chance to speak with Olivia Dunn, Director of Marketing for Women in Business.

Talking with Dunn was such a joy, and she was clearly excited about the event. This was not Olivia’s first time working with Fashion & Business and Beauty Birds either. In fact, she shared that this was her third year involved: “I modeled the first 2 years, as well as helping make some graphics. This year, I had the pleasure of running the show, along with Ainsley and Noah, which has been amazing.”

And that was certainly true. The fashion show was amazing from start to finish. You could tell just how much time, effort and dedication had gone into making the event such a success. Since Dunn was also in the show herself and looked fabulous, I wanted to hear her thoughts on the looks and ask which one was her favorite. “Oh, that is a tough one. I would have to say the opener, Mia. She was in an all-black skirt dress with a gold belt. I just think it was so chic, you could wear it dressed up, dressed down. It was perfect for nice professional wear, but with your own creative twist.”

Because this was both a professional networking and fashion event, the looks were elevated and polished, reflecting individuality and the chic, creative elements brought by members and attendees.

When asked, “What would you say to students who want to be in a position like you're in or in a space like this today?” Dunn responded, saying, “Honestly, follow your heart and be confident in yourself. As women, and even men too, we often discount and compare ourselves to everyone else in leadership roles, but just talk to people around you, get advice, and know that you're able to make it happen if you really are passionate.”

Dunn left students with an important message: if you want to enter the fashion world and put yourself out there, stay true to who you are and be confident in that.

President of Fashion and Business, Ainsley Massey, couldn’t have captured the event and the behind-the-scenes action better. After walking the runway, she broke down her look: “I'm in Princess Polly trousers, a thrifted blazer, and it fits me perfectly, which is amazing. I've got on Kendra Scott jewelry and Steve Madden boots.”

She stated how nervous she was to walk since she had never walked a runway before. With her background in dance and being on stage, she was able to find her balance and confidence. She said she was “stepping into her elegance. I just relaxed.”

Challenges are always apparent when planning an event. “I think a huge part of this was outreach and making sure we had our vendors,” said Massey. She explained that she and several others working the event had come down with an illness that had spread across campus. “The past 72 hours have been crazy. Lots of pivoting, but that’s what happens in these industries, so we kind of have to be ready for that,” Ainsley says, as it’s clear the event still went very smoothly.

Some advice she had for attendees who were networking was to have a good elevator pitch with your own personal flair. Showcasing your personality can go a long way, making networking or even interviewing more genuine. That is what the fashion show was all about: showcasing your personality through business attire. She gave a final shoutout to Noah, Cait, the models and all the organizations who made the fair possible.

Ultimately, the third annual Fashion and Beauty Professional Fair allowed everyone interested in the fashion industry an opportunity to find their passions, inspiration and network with amazing people.

If you are interested in Fashion and Business, mark your calendars next year for the fourth annual Fashion and Beauty Professional Fair and stay tuned for other events by F&B!
