Love on Tour Couture!

Emma Foster

Concert fashion has always been fun, edgy, and different. It allows for making bold and unique statements, as well as searching for new trends. However, Harry Styles’s concerts specifically have taken on a new level of couture.

In recent weeks, Harry Styles has gone on his second world tour, titled “Love On Tour”. While it was originally scheduled for the summer of 2020, the tour has since been rescheduled to this year, giving fans plenty of time to plan their outfits for the show- and they have not disappointed.

To those who are fans, or simply know who Harry Styles is, you may know his taste in fashion is exquisite. From Gucci campaigns, to memorable Met Gala looks, Styles has unveiled many outfits in which people- especially fans- have obsessed over. That being said, it comes as no surprise that his fans would replicate his style at his shows.

Bold prints, loud suits, and 70’s-esque dresses

have been all the rave at his concerts. From boas to bellbottoms, Harry has taken a modern twist on those styles some now see as passé.

On Style’s last tour, he had a new and invigorating suit each night. Fans would look forward to what he would wear, as his looks were iconic and audacious. This same energy has been reciprocated by both Styles and his fans this time around. By wearing outfits with bright colors and striking patterns, those concert-goers at Love On Tour are sure to make a statement.

While at his Philadelphia show, I was amazed at how much I loved everyone’s outfit. The most popular trends I saw consisted of bright feather

trim, leather, satin, suit jackets, fun accessories, heart print, and matching sets. It seems that these trends have been consistent throughout each show, for TikTok has aided in the display of Love On Tour fits all around the globe.

I believe that part of the reason these eccentric looks are so popular at Harry Styles shows is because of the community that is attending. While there, you are overwhelmed with feelings of safety and acceptance. There is a sense that no one would be judged for dressing a certain way- in fact- people would be applauded for their unique outfits. This originates from the main message of Style's album, to “Treat People with Kindness”, a category in which his fans have shown an outpouring of. That being said, Harry has left a mark on anyone listening to his music in hopes of being inclusive and sending a positive message that makes everyone feel loved. It was so nice to be able to dress in a fun way without the fear of judgement, and I’m sure many others feel the same way.

Harry’s message has really helped fans to express themselves, and feel confident about their fashion choices, both inside and outside the show.
