April 1 2023 marked the second night of the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). Located in India’s largest city, Mumbai, the center aims to display a sensory journey through the rich cultural history of India. From a 2000 person Grand Theatre to a 4 Story Art House featuring the works of Indian artists, the center serves as a host for some of the most magnificent artistic feats in Indian history.
Many notable celebrities were spotted at the event, such as Tom Holland, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, and Priyanka Chopra. The dress code for the evening, ‘inspired by India’, saw these celebrities' own unique interpretations of the prompt and spotlighted many prominent Indian designers.
Some highlights of the runway were Priyanka Chopra sporting a beautiful thigh-high slit gown by designer Amit Aggarwal. The host herself, Nita Mukkesh Ambani wore a magnificent floor length green and ivory gown. Emma Chamberlain wore a stunning two piece yellow adorned gown, traipsing the ground gently with an ostrich feather lining. Sonam Kapoor, a pioneer in Indian fashion, wore a stunning floor length gown. Radhika Merchant opted for a custom Dolce & Gabbana pantsuit. Check out the full look book below!
