This year eyes were on the NFL’s fashion game in addition to the games happening on the field. Although the Super Bowl has been important in pop culture due to the buzz around the halftime show and iconic commercials, this year, fashion played a part as well. Pre-game time became a runway as NFL players, like Travis Kelce, began placing an importance on their pre-game attire. Unexpected brands released NFL merchandise collaborations for fans. As a result, the intersection of sports and fashion took center stage this past football season.
There has been a recent interest into what players are wearing off the field. With Travis Kelce being all the talk, due to his relationship with Taylor and his spot on the Chief’s team, his looks didn’t go unnoticed. For his pre-game arrival to the Super Bowl game, he was dressed in a custom look from Mike Amirir. Amiri was established in 2014 by Mike Amirir. In December of 2023 his pre-game look for a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Travis was wearing an outfit which featured pieces from a Nike Air and Stussy collaboration. Stussy is a Californian based skater and surfer clothing brand. He paired the matching set with a pair of Flight 89 Low sneakers in the 'Black' colorway, which were also part of the collaboration. Before a game in September of 2023, against the Chicago Bears, Kelce was seen wearing a vacation-inspired look. His flowy pants were from Amiri and his fun patterned top was from J. Logan Home. J. Logan Home is a brand that emphasizes sustainability using second-hand luxury goods to create new and unique pieces. The white boots were from Alessandro Vasini, an Italian luxury brand known for creating pieces that have a mix of chic and rock n’ roll in them. (Photo from Travis Kelce (@killatrav) via Instagram )
Football fans love to sport their team's jersey, however, this season their options for team merchandise included a lot more. Brands like Hugo Boss, Vera Bradly, and Kith all announced collaborations with the NFL.
The Hugo Boss collection originally launched in April of 2023 right around the NFL draft. This collaboration was meant to provide stylish leisure apparel with the premium quality and craftsmanship that Boss provides. Items in the collection range from hoodies, sweatshirts, polo shirts, tracksuit bottoms, and more. It originally consisted of clothing that featured only five teams, The Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, and Miami Dolphins. It currently has expanded to 17 teams including the Chiefs, Eagles, and the Patriots.

Hitch snapbacks with a corduroy texture and vintage graphic tees were the other two items made for each team in the collection. A Wilson football featuring the Kith print was also produced as a special home item. The brand also made extra items for their home team, the New York Giants.
