Are we beginning to enter the Roaring 20s once again? Fashion repeating itself throughout generations is a phenomena we are all aware of. As we roll deeper into the 2020’s, it is pretty clear to see that some 1920’s fashion trends are coming back with a vengeance.
Town & Country stated its belief that 1920's fashion will be making an iconic comeback in the near future, “1920’s Redux,” as they’re calling it. From fringe to drop waist, it is predicted those famous styles will be a part of our fashion trends soon again. Many popular fall 2021 collections indicate that this may exactly be the case.
There is nothing more Roaring 20’s than the iconic fringe embellishment. Fendi, Rokh, Hermes and many more designers showcased this staple 1920’s look in their Fall 2021 collections. Also, we can not forget about the sequins, fur coats, silk silhouettes, intricate stockings, which are all thrown around in Prada’s 2021 fall collection and various others. Miu Miu highlighted many beautiful fur pieces, and paired a few with the famous drop waist dresses that took over the spotlight in the 1920’s.

One of the most Roaring 20’s inspired collections this fall 2021 was definitely Lanvin. From the fur detailing to the elegant sheath dresses with complimentary blazers, Lanvin almost time traveled with their new collection. The beautiful wrap dresses with the drop waist were some of the stand out pieces of the collection, a prominent style in the 1920’s as well.

To some, the return of this iconic era might be a tragic thing, but I believe it is most fitting for everything going on in our current situations. The Roaring 20’s was one of the most rebellious, yet fun times in our nation's history, and I believe we all need a little more fun in these crazy times. These amazing fashion trends are so unique, and I cannot wait to see the way they are styled in our “Soaring 20’s.
